May 27, 2022

Handsome Needs a Home
Handsome is a sweet natured, one year old Ameraucana rooster whose farmer is not a morning person. He has been around children and dogs. Looking to rehome, not crockpot. If interested, call Renee at 720-635-5037.

Composting Class
If you missed the composting class last March or attended and would like to have the presentation materials, here is a link to Jonathan Whetstine’s Powerpoint: https://onedrive.live.com/view.aspx?resid=3E561CF0DF4679AD!64956&ithint=file%2cpptx&authkey=!AAufrOXiDEUJm1Q.

Bee Archeology
The world’s oldest jar of honey is believed to be 5,500 years old and was found in a tomb in what modern day country? See below for the answer.

Register Now for the Homestead Fair!
Join us October 8th at Casey Jones Park for the return of the Homestead Fair, where our producers and crafters will share local products. There will be music, activities, food, animals, and crafts. Vendors and sponsors can obtain more information at: https://elbertcountyagalliance.org/fair. Volunteers are welcome to join the planning committee or to assist that day.

Support the Stampede and Have Fun
Show ECAA’s support for our community heritage and be part of making the rodeo weekend fun for everyone by joining us in the Elizabeth Stampede parade. Ride, wave, shout, and smile as we wind through Elizabeth with crowds cheering us on. We’ll meet at the ECAA booth at Elizabash where we will be setting up on Main Street between 8:00 and 9:00 a.m. At 9:00 a.m. we’ll carpool to the staging area, where we’ll pile in the Once Upon A Time Events’ vintage yellow truck The parade will begin at 10:00 a.m. We are also looking for booth volunteers to take shifts between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. To volunteer send an email to Renee.Burton@elbertcountyagalliance.org.

Spring Sale
The Rattlesnake 4-H Garage Sale and Flea Market is looking for vendors, donation items, and customers. The event will be Saturday, June 11th from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm at Singing Hills Elementary School. Clean your barn and contact Sarah Lindauer at max0429@msn.com to sign up as a vendor or make a donation.

Change of Plans
I know I said I was taking this weekend off from the newsletter, but here we are. I’m going to take next weekend off instead.

If you have announcements or classifieds that should be included in the next Roundup? Send them to news@elbertcountyagalliance.org.
